These records consist of contract project proposals and final reports submitted to the Department of Public Service as part of its grants program. The unit administered a variety of small grants ($5000-30,000) and solicited proposals from various firms, contractors, individuals, educational institutions, units of local governments, businesses, and non-profit organizations. The first file contains examples of requests for proposals which were sent out by the Energy Technologies Unit. Projects covered in the remainder of the files involve waste-to-energy facilities, use of bio-mass resources, wastewater treatment, agricultural crop drying, energy efficient house construction, hydropower, and solar hot water heating systems.
